About This Course

The Patient Handling Trainer course qualifies you to deliver accredited patient moving and handling training to healthcare staff across Ireland. Back injuries from patient handling are among the most common occupational injuries in Irish healthcare — as a qualified trainer you will protect both patients and staff.

This course covers all aspects of safe patient handling including the use of hoists, slings, slide sheets and other handling aids. All content is adapted for HSE Ireland guidelines and HIQA standards. On completion you will hold a SafeCert Level 3 qualification accepted by Irish hospitals, nursing homes and care providers.
